From conversations I have had with local licensees it would appear that the loutish behaviour is normal Saturday night stuff. Not that that excuses it, but from the police point of view I don't think that it will be laid at the door of the festival.
Hopefully, not many of the folk festival people will have come across it. I left the Bridge about 1.30 and all was quiet - I understand it kicked off about 2.00.
