What about "dues" that could be defrayed either by cash or by "contributions" according to a valuation scheme predetermined (and obviously, ultimately subjective, but it's a private forum and what's wrong with that?) Ten bucks a year, but uploading a song lyric that ain't a repeat is worth a buck? Answering a request for info with something other than a "go lookitupdumbass" - another buck. Posting x number of bytes without doing either of those - add a buck. I know it sounds complex, but this is software folks, and "it can do whatever we know how to tell it what to do."
