Well..... I grok that this place is 'important' to some... important enough that they're willing to fling money at Max (and honestly I fault them not at all for that.... It's their money... they're welcome to waste it however they want... There are WAY worse ways to spend a few bucks than filling Max's beer fridge..... Whatever)

The don't call it the WORLD WIDE web for nothing, folks.... Try looking around it a bit... you'll find that, in fact, Mudcat isn't so unique, so special as you think it is.... Which in NO way has to denigrate how you feel about the place.... but it might help put it into a more realistic context.
