I'm just back from a weekend away and thought I'd check out to see what was happening on this thread - IMHO one of the most important threads on the site for a long time.

Seems to me that rather than responding to those who wish to hijack the thread for their own ends we should be concentrating on what we can do to ensure the continuance of the site for the forseeable future.

SINSULL and I will be putting a box out at the next South Portland song circle for donations toward the Mudcat fund. All contributions welcome and the money to go toward the upkeep of the 'Cat. Kendall and I are looking at the possibility of copying the Grass Valley DVD onto tape or DVD for sale with a proportion of the proceeds going toward Mudcat funds.

I enjoy visiting the 'Cat on a daily basis and have many friends here now. I like the site pretty well as it is right now and have no reason to complain about the behaviour of the site moderators. I am more interested in the views of the majority of posters than the rather skewed opinions of the few who seem to wnat to do nothing but complain about what is, to me, a good place to visit.

I think that it is a shame that this thread has degenerated into what is basically a pissing contest for malcontents. I will keep coming back in to read the views of any sane people who might happen to post, if they are prepared to fght through the flak!
