Susan, I met you and Dick (& Joe Offer)two or three year back when you came to Whitby, & if I can get up to Whitby I'll look out for you. The tour worked out extremly well, pulling in the Press Room, the Ed Trickett house concert in Portland c/o Sinsul, two concert visits to Animaterra plus a non-folk liason and a visit to Niagara Falls over three wonderfully sunny and DRY days.
I met and enjoyed the hospitality of several 'catters in Portsmouth, Portland, Keene/Nelson, Copake, Sharon, & Litchfield. You guys know who you are, so I just want to say a great big thank you for briefly sharing your music, your company, your time. It really suprised me just how well I did get on with you guys, 'cos I really am one of these very reserved types, so thanks for making me feel at home and encouraging me. I'm sure I am now feeling much more confident among folks who were one moment strangers, and the next moment friends, and yes I do owe all this to Mudcat, (with some gentle encouragement from Bill/Sables). Talking of whom, wow, its so nice to be greeted with a cup of decent tea. Everywhere I went there was this tin box emblazoned with YORKSHIRE TEA. Well done Bill, what a trail blazer!
I'll be posting some photos in due course, so keep an eye out. I'll also be reporting to the Yorkshire Gathering & hopfully seeing Bill if he's attending.
