I'm making long term vague plans to get mobile for festivals, etc.

I just picked up a copy of issue 71 of the Aussie monthly periodical
"Campervan and Motorhome Trader" AUD$5 (there are many other local similar publications, including for caravans) this lists not only private sellers, but all the big dealers. There are even ones who will sell you one and will buy them back - cheaper than long term hire. Even places that sell coaster and other buses for conversions, as well as some of the conversion places. I suspect other countries have similar publications.

BTW, I'm looking for something that has

1) 3 way fridge - gas is pretty well essential, you are supposed to not use it while actually mobile, but many places I would be going probably do not have 240v plugin. 12V is all very nice, but then you need gennies, solar cells, etc - more weight, lower fuel consumption, and more upfront cost, although the 3 way fridge is more expensive initially, and the van must be set up with proper ventilation and gas installation venting, etc.

2) NO shower/toilet. More expense, wasted space. Any permanent site will have them. If you are driving, you are supposed to stop every 2 hours for a rest - stop at a 'petrol station' - they have toilets, food etc. Some places on the main highways are 'truckie stops' - they have showers too. If you need to stay overnight somewhere, camping sites exist.

3) Not a huge bus probably in the 20-26 ft range - one CAN tow a trailer if you need more junk, and it's easier if you only need a car licence.

4) Ok a microwave is fine - who needs TVs etc, radio is good for the trips, and a 2-3 burner stove - why need a gas oven? If 240V is available, there are lots of small appliances nowadays. I grew up as a kid with tent camping, and just what you could carry - learnt to cook over real fires too.

5) Sleeps 2-3 max 4 (what I want/need)

6) Lots of storage space - with no shower/toilet etc, you SHOULD have more usable room for instruments, etc.

Any further suggestions? (polite!)
