The owner of Hancock House, David Hancock, is an intrepid nutter who I can easily imagine shinnying up that tree to plant a camera. He must be well into his 60s now. I had the great privilege of accompanying him on an expedition to capture grouse as part of an biodiversity insurance project in 1989.
