I also have a Davy Stewart OM, Wesley, which I love. I tune it GDAE and occasionally GDAD for some tunes. Recently played a Fylde Bouzouki with a cedar top which has given me the mando equivalent of GAS (MAS or BAS?).

I look in at the Mandolin Cafe from time to time.

The OM has really opened up my ears for learning melodies. They seem easier to figure out with the more straight forward tuning (than standard guitar tuning) and that has somehow made it easier to figure out the guitar fingerboard, as well.vl
