Thread Name: Mandolin Mudcatters survey
Subject: RE: Mandolin Mudcatters survey
Is the mandolin your primary instrument or a sideline? I play melodeon and anglo concertina. Never have enough time to practise the Mandolin so, unfortunately, it tends to get sidelined. Occasionally, if I have a concert, I'll practise it for a tune or two so that I get a bit of diversity.

Do you perform regularly with others/are you part of an organized group? Yes and yes (quite a few) but unfortunately only rarely on mandolin.

What type of music do you play? Personally, traditional folk tunes, mainly for dancing and in concerts. As part of groups, almost anything.

What style would you LIKE to be playing? Any and all.

Are you happy with your mandolin? Yes, though I want my old portuguese bowlback mandoline back (it got smashed years ago. It was my favourite and I'd dearly love to replace it.

What type/style/brand of mandolin do you own. Both are roundback mandolins. One hungarian and one Italian. The less decorated Hungarian one is best.

:-)
