Well I personal think that Holmfirth should keep to the same weekend it has always had. I can understand the benefits of getting out of the Football Season however they are a lot of festivals about. As for the Moor and Coast being on the weekend before well the Holmfirth Festival was well-established festival before the Moor and Coast. I don't know if The Rochester Sweeps festival predates the Moore and Coast but that is also on the same weekend.

The main thing is that it is that the Holmfirth Festival belongs to the local people and it should be a local decision. With that in mind here is a link to The Folk Roots festival guide.
