I was in a small town called Newberry for a week last year - I don't remember now how far it was from Greenville/Spartanburg, but I think it was in the same general part of the world. Anyway, there's a coffee shop in the downtown that has a relaxed, folkie musical gathering on Friday nights. Also, a relaxed, folkie music store across the street.
