If you are having problems with your towel's absorbency the quickest way to remedy this is to recite to it all 17 hours of the Vogon tone poem "Gllxuxnd" which, of course, recounts 1 minute in the extraordinary life cycle of the Mancadien water slug. After this your towel will be suitably conditioned to absorb anything.

One word of warning however, this procedure should not be carried out in the presence of pets, small children or those of a nervous disposition and should only be attempted on natural fibres as man made ones are likely to show an adverse reaction and attack the narrator.

Alternatively, wash the towel several times in warm soapy water and rinse well.
