Holy moly. Check out the performer line-up for the gathering (this past April) for the "Black Banjo Then and Now" organization's website. I would love it if the people you sent the link for this thread to would come and post in this thread, Azizi, but I must say, I think this subject (Black Banjo and related organizations) might be well served by also having its own thread that it doesn't have to share with any other instruments.
