Precisely so, Giok. The headscarf thing is NOT discriminatory, and to compare that with the fate of French Jews borders on being offensive.
In McQuaid's Ireland, a protestant was sacked because, as a librarian, she had been in a position to influence minds. I could almost go along with that, if such restrictions had applied to people of ALL faiths. (In McQuaid's Ireland? Fat chance!)
