Most of the features described require you to have a membership cookie - membership is free, with no strings attached.
Our FAQ has all sorts of information on how to find old stuff at Mudcat. Our main search engine can be a bit confusing because there are technical problems that won't allow it to search messages posted since the Summer of 2005. The best (and simplest) way to find recent information is to use our Filter. Put a pertinent word from the thread title in the filter box, and set the age back as far as you want.
