Moonchild - I live in Ft Worth so I'm not up on the San Antonio music scene but check out www.houseconcerts.com. I think they list some house concerts in the area. They might be called "urban campfires". The Kerrville folk festival site might list some also. But DO check out Mi Tierra and it's other location called Pico De Gallo. It used to have a good "norte" singer.He'll sing at your table. Cabrito and music - what more could you ask for?? I think that they also have riverwalk boat tours with Mexican singers - look into that - I may be mistaken. You might also check out the bar at the Menger hotel across from the Alamo. No music but you can still see the bullet holes that Teddy R and the Rough Riders left in the ceiling. The tour of missions is also wothwhile if you like old buildings.
