No official reason was given but I suppose it was like running into a racist waitress at Denny's, an individual is probably respondsible and not the Lycos corporation in cooperation with the NSA ;).
I tried to restore it but after each hoop I was told to jump through they always claimed I had not faxed them the appropriate information. After 4 months I can longer buy into a simple comedy of errors scenario, it is deliberate.

So after 10 years of building the damn thing where should I start over now? blog sphere or what. I may never start over again anyway.

Of course its not just a website that has shut down, this month both cars broke down, the central air conditioner died, the pool heater melted, the attic fan is kaput etc.

I used to enjoy sharing my attempts at art and editorial cartoons but after 15 years with no success or recognition, a website is just another $30 a month expense.
