I guess we are fortunate here in Kansas City to have at least 2 pubs where live music is the focus, not the side act. One of the pubs is co-owned by a KC Chief, so the TVs are "exposed" on game days, but otherwise, they are shuttered and most people don't even know they're there.

I agree on the separate room issue, at one pub I know of the sports are placed in the smaller room and the crowd gravitates to the live music!!
