I have never been to the Havelock Jamboree, a little too Country for me. I am a Bluegrass fan. I just happened to notice an ad in my local paper, Dr. Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys wil be there on Sunday, August 19th. Ralph is my favourite Bluegrasser. I saw him a few years ago as part of the "Down From The Mountain" show. I enjoyed it, but he only did a few songs. I am planning on going, I can't wait to see him and his band. I only wish that he still played the banjo, but Steve Sparkman does one heck of a job playing Stanley Style.
