Of COURSE there is a price variation when you get more space than less space, and there is a price variation if you want to run a site with only your material and without someone's banner ads popping up at the top or side of your pages. The Earthlink option is without any ads, it is your space to use. The Angelfire and other "free" sites are sponsored, meaning you have to live with their ads on your page, that's why it costs you less. You have to pay for the luxury of running your own site free of someone else's advertising.

Why does Yahoo let you post unlimited numbers and volumes of photos in their "Free" pages? Because people can come in and look at your photos and unless you've blocked the service, Yahoo can sell your photo to interested buyers.
