We have a flag-staff bracket on the rail of our front balcony, and on high days and holy days we fly the appropriate flag -- the Maple Jack on Canada Day, the Fleur-de-lis on St-Jean-Baptiste, and the Welsh dragon on St. David's Day, Edmund's birthday and pretty well any other day when we feel either festive or fierce.

And a large red dragon on a green-and-white field is somewhat more visible than the house number. Better for parties.
