Has anyone had the acid back up while asleep and block all attmepts to breathe for an eternal 2 to 3 minutes until finally a desperate gasp allows a bit of air mixed with acid to seep down their lungs?

Acid reflux is nothing to sneeze at. I am convinced it can be fatal.
