Yes Ake I too found that a totally unedifying spectacle. I'm afraid that all today's politicians prove, is that there's no honour amongst thieves, or perverts for that matter.
The last honourable politician was the late Robin Cook who was prepared to resign for his principles rather than sell them for a mess of pottage.
I also see that in the wake of the John Prescott fiasco, it is now proposed that civil servants who have a relationship with another member of staff should be required to notify their head of department.
So as long as somebody knows, that's all right then!
