Although I had no evidence to back it up, I never trusted Tony Blair. He came across as a 'trimmer' then, and has proved to be one since. It was pretty obvious that he was prepared to sacrifice nearly all his party's beliefs in the pursuit of power.
He has moved the Labour Party so far to the right that there is now a political vacuum on the left wing of politics, which might explain the rise and rise of some of the exremist parties.
It seems to me that The Vicar of Bray has more than met his match in Anthony A Blair, turncoat of this parish.
