You and Jon gave ten-fold what you gained.

And I say that as someone who remembers, 16-odd years ago,
HIS first Mystic SMF. The open arms with which we were
received, the insanely great singing, the feeling that
I'd just found all the people that were just like me,
this guy name of Hugill introducing himself to me of
all people, the remarkable generosity of spirit and
musicianship that attends the whole thing, to say
nothing of the place and setting which is, let's face
it, absolutely enchanting, second to none.

You and Jon are clearly assets in the preservation of
this great genre of music and in just bloody well keeping
people singing, rather than listening to the radio.

If SMF 2006 has re-invigorated that energy in you, then
(to coin a phrase) MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
