I was a freshman at the University of Notre Dame in 1963. Don Connors was a freshman also. He was a skilled guitar and banjo player. I recall a school talent show in which Don performed a banjo instrumental version of the Notre Dame fight song. I rememeber his saying that he was a member of the Glencoves and that they had a record which had some success. I remember he had a beautiful Gibson Hummingbird guitar and I began learning to finger pick by watching him play. I also recall that he was a very nice fellow.
