Silver Spring MD...we had a music party last night in the downstairs rec room...a dozen happy people ignoring the thunder and singing....then someone noticed water running under her chair.
Two hours later, and a LOT of help piling important stuff on top of unimportant stuff, and setting 4-5 fans and 2 dehumidifiers to work and we shrugged gave up....

(sang storm & water songs too, of course)

I guess it rained 4-5 inches in 2 hours. 23 years here, and I never saw anything like it. I will have to toss the downstairs carpets...as soon as I can get enough stuff moved off them to drag them out...(they were old anyway...still)
