Thread Name: Tech: Sound System For One Performer
Subject: RE: Tech: Sound System For One Performer
Well, I have one of these Roland's (see below) and I just love it. I've used it in coffeehouses, large listening rooms and small pubs and it is just great. It has it's limitations - not a ton of bass without the additional bass box, but my ideal is going unplugged and this little system is a nice step beyond that without getting too crazy. I love the carrying case and the fact that you can mount it on a pole; and, when I use my "real" sound system I can run my guitar through the Roland and the Roland into the Yamaha mixer and get a great guitar sound. If you're ever going to need a big system then this is not your thing; but, if you only need small or want something more convenient to take to smaller rooms - then this is your baby.
Hope it helps. Cheers.

Big Sound in a Compact Package
Talk about impressive. The AC-60 is a marvel of amplifier design, using the latest DSP technology to deliver a pure, rich acoustic sound with projection far beyond its compact size. This stereo acoustic amp (30w x 2) offers brilliant stereo/multi-band chorus including a new "wide" mode, plus shimmering reverb tailored specifically for acoustic guitar. And if it's more low-end you crave, the AC-60 even gives you a Subwoofer output.

A Marvel of Convenience
The dual-channel AC-60 offers both a Guitar channel and a Mic/Line channel with Phantom Power. This makes it the perfect companion for coffeehouses and small club gigs. The Guitar channel gives you a choice between piezo and magnetic pickup inputs, plus powerful Anti-Feedback controls. Rounding out this package is a Mute switch for silent tuning and a Stereo Line Out for connection to mixing consoles and PA systems.
