Skarpi - in 1947 (I am told) in the UK we had months of snow, up to the horses shoulders, (they pulled the milk man's wagon then). Then when it thawed it THAWED - in a week. Half of East Anglia (which is below sea level in many parts) was sea again.
So with all this global warming - Iceland may yet be visited by a quick thaw. - Anyway I thought the ice was receeding in the mountains near you.
FWIW global warming is a fact. Irrefutable fact. As witnessed by more and stronger hurricanes and flash floods, birds migration patterns, etc etc. The reasons for the warming and it's duration we can discuss though it points ever more to the 300 million years of sunlight being locked-up in fossil fuels and released in 100 years. It ain't rocket science. Pull the bung and ............
- all else is King Canute territory.
Best of luck Max, I have put my PC up on the table for now.
