From my younger days, can I add Jim Croce - one of the first people to make me stop and listen to lyrics. Saw one of his CDs in the library the other day and it reminded me how much I enjoyed his music (within the contect of growing up with Suzie Quatro and Gary Glitter etc riding high in the charts).
