Great choice.

Although the town of Carnac itself is a bit touristy there are some really good restaurants and in september it should have chilled out a bit. The coast along the Quiberon peninsula is spectaclular. There is an especially lovely little fishing village called Portivy. It is a landing spot of the local fishermen so you can alway get good fish there if you are up early enough.
