Definitely not where polls are concerned. The one thing pollsters don't tell us is how many people refused to take their poll. The people who are most likely to refuse to participate are those who hold the most unpopular beliefs. Such people are naturally suspicious, even to the point of believing poll-takers are government agents, so they slam the door in their faces. Or, if they don't refuse to participate they may give false answers so as not to "incriminate" themselves.

There's no way to know what the poll results might have been if 100% of those approached had responded honestly, but I wouldn't be surprised if the number of people who expressed admiration for the bombers is actually double what the survey indicated. That would make the title of this thread "7.5 out of 10 Muslims abhor London Bombing".
