very astute observation, McGrath. Reminds me of the "research" reported on in Playboy in the 1960s about the insatiable sexual appetites of dolphins.   The research was done on captive dolphins in environments that offered little stimulation aside from each other, and someone observed that we too might go for endless orgies if locked up in a small room with nothing else to play with.

I also question the extrapolation that because these chimps preferred "no noise" to "classical, world, or rock" they "don't like music." Did they try Ray Charles?
