I've just come back from working at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod which finishes Saturday. Despite some backsliding on the part of the organizers after last year's good start on a Celtic day (today), it's an event which does the soul good. A sea of smiles. Turks and Kurds, Slavs, Serbs, and every colour and shade of human bean getting along. Hysterical to see the Punjabi and Zulu dancers adapting their dances to each others music, and falling about laughing.

Proves it - this global friendship thing - does work given a chance.
