Techincally, gnu, yer right... Moles are of no harm other then messing up yer yard with their tunnels... The mole is large and stays purdy much under ground and eats the grubs and purdy much minds his own business...

***But*** what happens is that the voles will find the mole tunnels and set up shop in them, have lots of babies, who like their parents have only one food source in mind: your garden!!! They will eat an entire potato crop... They will eat the roots of any hosta they find leaving the top dead as a door nail... The will eat the roots of tomatoes, spinich and corn... The will eat yer carrots and yer beets as well as those purdy annuals you bought in the spring that have now mysteriouly died...

No, get the sumabitchs out...
