Maybe nobody told Jim that it had closed, Katherine? He's very good with news like that but he can't report stuff if nobody tells him! It's a fact that, when a new club or session starts, those running it bust their guts to advertise it, but when one fizzles out they often walk away without a word to anyone. Could be that's what happened here?
