about this poem...good question. I love Wallace Stevens, and must admit I do not always understand what the poems are "about." I don't know if the poet did either! He seemed very interested in poetry which used language in an innovative and unusual way...but certainly some of his poems have specific themes and ideas going on... is Sunday morning the one with all the repeating, mutating passages involving the color of the waves etc.?
