I had two more mole encounters today and they got away. Too damn fast.

I stomp down the tunnels so they have to dig more. Then I watch the ends of the new tunnels to see of the ground is heaving up and down. Then I attack.

It seems they have vertical tunnels going down into the fill dirt around the house that they escape thru. There is a basement and where it is backfilled the soil still has pockets in it especially around the stairwells. When I attack on one side of the house, they pop up on the other side in a few hours with no tunnels leading to that side. I'll bet there is an entire mole city down there.

What is the difference between me killing them and a cat or dog killing them? The bastards are dead either way and I don't have cat or dog crap to worry about.
