Yes we had Sesame Street in England.
The last time I overwatched it (if there isn't a word like overheard that means seeing something accidentally, there should be) was 6 years ago, while caring for my Mother-in-law. She was chair bound with Arthritis and Parkinsons, so had nothing much to do but listen to tapes and watch TV. She found Sesame Street highly amusing.
Didn't I read somewhere that the puppet makers were English?
