Nah, I wouldn't do it unless there was no production at all. This is related to clyster frenzy that gripped France and the French court in the time of Louis XIV; it was stupid then and it's stupid now.

The body, if in good health, is self-regulating and self-cleansing. And if you're not in good health go see your doctor.

You can also get the body to the point that natural functions will no longer work -- dependence on laxitives being a case in point. If you need more intestinal muscle tone try exercising the rest of the body. It'll work better, make you healthier, and it's a whole lot less expensive.

(I'm reminded of when my wife was the director of a college library and told me that some of the students were "into" coffee enemas for colonic cleansing. My first response was "Cream? One lump or two? Decaf or regular?")
