I've seen ball lightning twice. One was a WHITE ball perhaps 7 inches in diameter- it travelled down a hall and winked out; the other was a large - easily a foot and a half in diameter - glowing orange ball. I even saw it compress into a squashed shape as it came through an open window. It went past me at about thigh height and out the open door.
