I loved Superman Returns! Great cast, great story, wonderful fun! A good popcorn movie! Supes was never my favorite, I've always been more of a Marvel fan, but this was a well made movie.
Comic books are our modern folklore. The biblical touches were present since the character was created. It is not a piece of religious dogma, but a great adaptation of an old story into a modern treatment.
The last several years have been great! One of my favorite film adaptations was Hellboy. I'm looking forward to the next Fantastic Four (with the Silver Surfer!) as well as Spidey 3!! Down the line, there is a good chance that Captain Marvel (Shazam) and The Spirit will be made into films. I hope they don't screw it up!
