We stopped too for a while, after John died because Pat's depression was ...well...depressing. I nearly gave up when the horrible Hazel was living in Ambridge for a while (Not the last time...that was lovely because Lillian really gave her what she deserved.)

Various people have irritated me over the years, but somehow, one keeps coming back and it's like travelling then returning home. The family is all mostly the same as ever.

The Will/Emma/Ed story was so completely riveting that I could hardly wait for 7.02 each evening.

A soap that has been running for 55 years has to have had it's ups and downs and good and bad characters in all senses of the words.
