That citrate of magnesia stuff is horrid. Had to use it a time or two myself prior to surgery.

After that lucid discussion of the whys and wherefores of the "colon cleanse" products I think I can see why it actually works for a friend of mine. He has a few flareups of diverticulitis every year, and between watching what he eats and running that stuff through every so often, perhaps it actually pulls irritants from out of the diverticula.
