If it had been my mother, I'd make an effort to go down there just to thank them. I'm not sure something like that didn't happen with her, but I also knew what she thought, what she wanted.

I don't believe in killing people who are inconvenient or whose wishes are unknown but would survive. Helping someone on their way out, who's miserable and has no hope of recovery, is merciful, and a heroic deed in this day and age.
