The military industrial complex needs work. They had it as long as the Soviet Union endured. When the Soviet Union collapsed, they had to find or invent new enemies fast...or lose a hell of a lot of money. Naturally, given that situation, they found and invented new enemies...small enemies...almost powerless enemies...enemies who where no real threat to Amerika...but enemies who would provide endless new opportunities to build armaments, kill people, and blow up things real good.

Presto! Milosevich, Saddam and Al Queda. Clinton was in on it too, by the way. His administration was very much involved in promoting war and bloodshed around the world, but his part of the schedule didn't involve Al Queda too heavily, that's all. His main event was in the Balkans.

It's 99% lies and manipulation, and its purpose is to keep society on a war footing forever, if at all possible, because that is profitable for certain interests. If you want a war that lasts forever, you just invent an enemy that has no borderlines and can't be found. Presto! Al Queda.
