Gene, if you're still there, do you know when MM&C was written? Sometime during the depression era, I think. I learned it from the singing of Chester James in Arizona, by way of Sara Grey who was living there at the time. I spoke to Chester on the phone once...a lovely, elderly man who had a big supply of neat songs, some of which he'd learned as a child, others that he composed. He's since died. I wonder if anyone that's reading this knew him. Joan
