The concern isn't just about dangerous stuff being sent through civilian airports. It's about a foreign government sending war materials through British airpace and British airports, without any kind of consultation, to a country engaged in a deadly war game in which close on a million people have been driven from their homes, large numbers of civilians have been slaughtered, a nation devastated, and unarmed UN personnel targetted and killed.

If the war materials had been destined for Lebanon at this time, for use in this war, I am sure that similar objections would be raised.
