Well I never got that mole but he went away. I was using my battery drill with a bulb planting auger to drill some shallow holes in my lawn's bare spots in prepearation to putting down some seed.

After that I never saw the mole again. Evidently the noise of the drill chased him off.

I think there is something to those things that make noises to scare them away.
