Thanks Nessie, and the rest of youse so loverlee peoples. At 6 am and 6 pm I am missing his yowls of hunger, missing filling his water bowl every morning, missing everything about the old boy actually. He's left quite an empty space which I am becoming more and more aware of as those little routines of life that fit around him are no longer required. I started getting rid of his endless blankets and couldn't go on. It just seemed so, well, final - which is ridiculous because he is dead. It's a strange thing this human mind and human heart.
